In ID3, students learned about Henri Matisse and his colorful paper cut-out artworks, created late in his career. Inspired by Matisse’s technique of “drawing with scissors,” students cut shapes from brightly colored paper and arranged them into their own playful compositions, exploring color, shape, and balance.
